signing contracts at the notary public office

Every now and then you start a project, not knowing where it will end.

Upon completion you end up with a totally different deal, more complicated than expected at first.

That is exactly what happened when our client Amke Shipping/Conquest Dredging contacted us to assist during the sale of their pusher tug Marinequest to Belgian construction company Hye.

Planned as a simple and clean transaction, Amke Shipping then accepted two vintage tugboats called Ignata and Robby as part payment.

At the same time Amke Shipping decided to purchase a replacement tug from the Dutch towage company Van Leeuwen, named Joco VI.

All in all a very interesting transaction in times of pandemic, and together with Dutch Notary Public Koppelaar all deeds were passed successfully this Wednesday 19th of August.

We wish all new owners the best of luck with the vessels.
